An Epidemic of Abandoned Horses is an article found in Time magazine. Many horses are being abandoned cruely because there is not enough money in the economy for people to buy feed. People are just getting rid of them. Slaughter houses in America are closing down and there is nowhere for them to go. Personally, I am kind-of glad that slaughter houses are closing down, because I love horses. I would rather see an abandoned horse, finding food for himself, then seeing one being killed inhumanly.
Why are animals abused? How could anybody do things to them? Honestly, I don't know, but I do know that horses cannot do anything about it. Horses are so expensive these days even though there are so many on this planet. I believe that if it didn't cost so much to own a horse, then people would buy more of them, people who are ready. This would prevent the title "abandoned horses" and slaughter houses would stay out of buisness. But how can we change it?
